Sensorless Vector Control for BLDC Motors
Neither position sensors nor speed sensors are needed for implementing the sensorless vector control approach for brushless DC (BLDC) motors, making this method ideal for embedded system designs in which cost must be minimized. The session discusses a motor-model based flux observer and implementation strategy, as well as a one-shunt current detection (OSCD) technique. The speed regulation performance and CPU bandwidth usage of the OSCD technique are described. |
