Build a Wireless Product in 30 Minutes using the OpenRF^TM Platform

This lab session demonstrates how simple it is to make a wireless sensor network using the OpenRF^TM embedded wireless development platform, which utilizes an H8 Super Low Power microcontroller and a Semtech 900-MHz radio. Starting with the standard distribution files and several OpenRF^TM development boards, attendees build a simple wireless sensor application that uses all of the features of the platform. Topics include software aspects, the theory of operation of the OpenRF^TM hardware reference design, and steps for improving RF layouts, as well as the use of the free Renesas HEW IDE to load, modify, and run an OpenRF^TM application on the reference hardware. One person attending this session will be selected to receive a free OpenRF^TM Core Development Kit, a $349 value.
