Developing Embedded Systems using Low-power Design Techniques
Many factors are involved when designing embedded systems geared to energy efficiency. Major points covered in this session are the issues that are important in the microcontroller selection process and their impact on the final system, as well as the operational modes of the MCU and their associated levels of power consumption. Energy requirements and calculations for product lifespan are reviewed, after which the lifespan energy usage numbers for sample designs are examined and contrasted.
