Hardware Design Fundamentals for MCU-based Embedded Systems
Design alternatives and requirements for some basic aspects of embedded system design are the focus of this presentation. The session covers the need for and uses of the power-on reset (POR), low-voltage detection (LVD) and Reset-generation functions, as well as basic interface considerations - for example, 3V/5V level translations. Polled or interrupt interface considerations and serial/parallel interface issues are also discussed.
